In vitro dissolution and release testing are important methods used by the pharmaceutical industry to develop, optimize and control drug products. They can be used for new chemical entities, for generic products but also for drug-device combination products.
The purpose of this webinar is to discuss the scientific principles and practical considerations related to in vitro dissolution testing for all types of dosage forms. This includes immediate release products (tablets, capsules), long acting injectables (microspheres, in-situ forming implants, suspensions, etc…), medical devices as well as non-pharmaceutical products (smokeless tobacco products, etc…).
The workshop will provide a review of history of the flow through cell, its main principles, how it has been developed and regulated. Finally, various examples of applications with case studies will be shared with the audience.
It will bring value to persons involved in the development of both formulations and testing methods, as well as to persons interested to better understand the interactions between drug substance properties, drug product composition and in vivo performance of those formulations.
