Dual-frequency drying is an innovative process based on a combination of microwave and infrared energy sources controlled by an intelligent processing system. The low frequency microwaves penetrate the entire sample and rapidly remove volatiles through dipole rotation, while high frequency infrared energy evenly heats the surface and removes non-polar components through molecular vibration. This prevents burning and incomplete drying, which can arise from single frequency based Moisture Analysers. The result is a direct method for virtually any sample type, with faster drying than traditional microwave and infrared-based systems.
